Summer Program Interest Survey

Weldon City Schools will provide an optional, voluntary instructional Summer Program for all students. The tentative dates for our summer programs are June 7, 2021, through July 16, 2021.

March Board of Education Meeting - Rescheduled

Due to predicted weather conditions, the Board of Education is rescheduling the closed session and regular meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 18, 2021, at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. until Monday, March 22, 2021. The regular board meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Weldon City Schools Social Emotional Learning Poster Contest

Weldon City Schools is implementing Social Emotional Learning into our curriculum to cultivate healthy social and emotional skills. These areas of social-emotional competency will include Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Responsible Decision Making, Social Awareness, and Relationship Skills. Our first Social Emotional Competency is Responsible Decision-Making. In order to exhibit knowledge of this competency, scholars were asked to create a poster of notable Black History Figures who exemplified Responsible Decision-Making. We are pleased with the scholars' efforts and participation in this district-wide contest.

Pandemic P-EBT Program

The Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) program helps families purchase food for children whose access to free or reduced-priced meals at school has been impacted by COVID-19 because students are learning virtually, outside of brick-and-mortar schools. P-EBT is a collaboration between the NC Department of Health and Human Services and the NC Department of Public Instruction.

SCHOOL RE-ENTRY REGISTRATION FORM

North Carolina State lawmakers are proposing a bill that would require an option for K-12 face to face instruction to students if passed. Weldon City Schools is collecting information for providing a continuation of quality instructional opportunities for all of our scholars.

This REQUIRED Registration Form is for our families to express their instructional delivery preference.

Superintendent Search - Community Survey

The district Superintendent search is in process. The North Carolina Board Association is serving as the recruiting agency and is requesting input from community stakeholders. Stakeholders include parents, students, and community members at large. **Read Full Story**
